Exotics to Appear at the PMA Event!!

6/27/2008

Hello All...

As another attraction to this year's PMA show, we are happy to announce that we will have a couple of exotic cars on display for your viewing pleasure. Dan Rhodes, of Extreme Performance, will be bringing a Pantera and a Ferrari F40, and Mark Gerisch will be bringing his new Lambhorghini Murcielago Roadster.

Helpful Information for the Participants

6/25/2008

****You still may Pre-Register and I encourage you to do so in order to expedite your registration process.
Areas of the Show:
Entrance/Classifying: Coop and Co. will be handling all the classifying of vehicles. ***Please have your $20 registration fee ready as you enter.

As you arrive: The entrance staff will ask if you’re “Pre-Registered” and, if so, you will be directed to the Right lane to pick up your already completed dash card. You must then either go to the photo op, or go to park according to how you were classed on your sheet. Once parked, you MUST go inside the office to complete your registration and pick up your “goodie bag.”

If you are NOT Pre-Registered, you will be directed to the Left lane, classed, and given your registration form to fill out to complete your registration. You may then proceed to the photo op area, or you will head to your class area to get parked. You, too, MUST go into the office to finalize your registration and pick up your dash card, along with your event information.

The Girls in the Office: There will be two girls in the office that will give the unregistered participants their dash cards. The participant must present their classification/registration sheet that they received upon entering, and they will be given their dash card with their assigned class and car number written on it.

Pre-Registered participants will just need to check in and receive their car number.

Parking Attendants: There will be several parking attendants as you proceed to your area. They will ask you for your class, and direct you to where you need to go and park. Once parked, you MUST go into the office and complete your registration.

Photo Op Area: We have our “Dream Team” working this area so that the process may be expedited. Once the vehicle drives up, the driver will be given a clipboard with a “photo information” sheet attached. Please fill the form out NEATLY, and proceed to the payment area. Once paid, you will receive a “contact information” sheet for Mike Jaber, just in case you have any questions. The vehicle placement volunteers will then line the vehicle up, and George will take the shot. You will receive an emailed, high resolution, file within a few days.

Food: This year the food is being catered by my good friend Lee Engleman of Kodiak Jack’s. He is a big supporter of the Mustang hobby!

T-Shirts: Rainbow Screenprinting will be on hand to sell event T-shirts. Dennis and Becky are great to work with so stop by and say hello to them. Take a shirt home with you!

Vote Tabulation: Please have your votes turned in by 1:00 so that the votes can be tallied and we can stay on time for our cruise to Kodiak Jacks.

Awards Presentation: (Approximately 3:00) Mike Jaber will give a few words of thanks and turn the mic over to Larry Jewett of Mustang Enthusiast Magazine. After all the class awards are done, Mike Jaber will announce the Specialty Awards, as well as a couple of other awards.

Cruise to Kodiak Jack’s: Please join us in a cruise to Kodiak Jacks Restaurant, just 5 minutes away, for a post event celebration. There will be VIP parking for all participants!!

“The Mustang Store” to Benefit The Carroll Shelby Children’s Foundation - Please visit The Mustang Store vending area to purchase unique items which will help our charity.

Carroll Shelby Silent Auction Items: There will be a silent auction going on throughout the day with the proceeds benefitting our charity. Here is your chance to own a piece of Shelby history!!

Another P-51 Pilot Joins the Fun

4/28/2008

This week's update features some great news about another P-51 Mustang that has agreed to make an appearance at this year's Planes, Manes, and Automobiles Show. I talked with John O'Connor this past weekend and he has agreed to come up from Illinois and be a part of our show. His P-51, American Beauty, has won several awards and he has informed me that his plane will be "sporting" the tanks so it will look armed and ready for battle. We also will be starting to list Ford items on the website, for purchase, so that we can get a head start on fund raising for The Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation. Every purchase will include a receipt so that you can write off your contribution. Make sure that you check back frequently for new updates every week. If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to contact me nflspike@ameritech.net

Have a great week!

***ATTENTION.....DATE CHANGE!!!!!!!

4/24/2008

Hello Everyone....

There has been a date change for this year's Planes, Manes, and Automobiles to Saturday, July 5th. In order to better serve the attendees, we thought that it would be best to move it back one week so that we can offer all of the same attractions that we have offered in the past. We are now in the process of doing a huge media blitz and you will be seeing posters and event cards, as well as radio advertisements provided by WMDC 98.7 and WTCX 97.7 (Thanks to Tommy "Big Sky" Biolo and Mike "Silk" Casper).

ALSO>>> Thank you to Andy and Coop for promoting the show on www.cponygo.com/forums , as well as Greg who has started a link on www.midwestmustangassociation.com

It will be a great weekend and we hope that all Mustang enthusiasts will join us for this great event!

Awesome Items for Sale Soon!!!!

4/19/2008

***Great News for Mustang Enthusiasts***
Robert Parker, who is the Manager of Ford Division Car Marketing, has given us the "green light" to offer some great items to our Mustang community, with the proceeds benefiting the Carroll Shelby Children's Foundation. We will list incredible items on the site every week, and you will have the opportunity to purchase them if you're interested. We will display a picture of the item, along with the number of items that we will have available for sale, and the first responses that I receive, in my email box, will have access the items offered. Due to the limited number of items that we will offer during this pre-show Shelby Foundation fund raising campaign, we will limit the buyer to purchasing only one of each item. Some of the items that will be offered are posters, diecasts, Ford GT collectibles, Shelby GT500 Collectibles, T-Shirts, and a whole lot more. Stay tuned for more upcoming information and look for the first items to appear maybe next week.

We'll see you at the best Mustang Show in the Midwest on June 28th!

Welcome!

4/15/2008

We are excited to present the 5th annual Planes, "Manes", and Automobiles All Ford Show, featuring the Mustang, held at EAA's Pioneer Airport in Oshkosh. The show has come a long way over the past five years and the quality of vehicles just keeps getting better and better every year. At last year's show, Mark Gerisch's GTX-1's were a great addition, along with Jerry Ritzow's Twin Turbo Saleen S7, which is a perennial crowd favorite. This year Ford has jumped in, once again, and supplied us with some great raffle prizes for the attendees. A big thank you goes out to Robert Parker, the marketing manager of Ford who has partnered with us for the last two years. We will donate some of this year's proceeds to The Carroll Shelby Foundation as a gesture from the Wisconsin Mustang contingent. This year's show will feature great Ford vehicles, once again, and we are in the process of coordinating some attractions that will be a great addition to our 5th Anniversary Show. The best way to attend the show is by being a part of it. The $20 entry fee covers the vehicle's registration, as well museum admission for all guests within the vehicle. Once again there will be a cruise to Kodiak Jack's after the show for a post event celebration and cake. Last year we filled the north side of the parking lot with gorgeous vehicles and we had our own little car show in the lot. The patrons of the restaurant couldn't help but come outside to view the great gathering of precious Fords and a lot of fun was had by all. Also, back by popular demand, Larry Jewett, from Mustang Enthusiast Magazine will be in attendance. Larry is always looking for a few great cars to feature in his magazine. To date, there have been at least 3 vehicles featured in Mustang Enthusiast which just happened to be discovered at the EAA Show.

We do have a radio station that has jumped on board with us this year, 98.7 WMDC, which will feature Tom "Big Sky" Biolo and Mike "Silk" Casper promoting the show and giving away prizes. As always, the One-of-a-Kind awards will be back and, if you've never been to the show before, you won't believe what a mantelpiece these awards actually are. Just ask someone who has attended!! I will continue to add news weekly, or whenever I get an update. Make sure that you pre-register so that you can get one of the gorgeous dash plaques, as well as being eligible for an autographed photo of Carroll Shelby. If you have any questions, feel free to email me at nflspike@ameritech.net

Thanks for stopping by the site!!

See you on the road!
